Pretti PR Tip: Know Your Worth and Establish Your Value

Let me say this so there is no confusion: IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO BE TOO EXPENSIVE!

For a man. For a potential customer. For an investor. For whoever.

Just because broken (and yes, broke) people cannot see your value does not mean that it is not there, and hopefully by the end of the post you have started to claim your power and the confidence to demand what you are worth. If you google the number one way to build a brand you will see that it is to establish value.

And I can promise you that if you do not see your value, potential and future clients will not either.

I remember being six months postpartum at home with my son and for the first time in my life not knowing how exactly I was going to pull this mompreneur thing off. I was frantic, alone, and feeling less than worthy of the love I gave freely, and it showed in my business: I overextended myself, refused to ask for help, and watched the dream it took me a year to rebuild start to crumble in my hands.

It was bad, and to make matters worse I was scavenging for clients taking the most laughable retainers because if the man who laid down to make a baby with me could not see my worth then there is no way that a perfect stranger that is only concerned with my value could actually see it.

See how silly that sounds? It isn't pretti to sound silly. So I had to get me right, and now, I am here to come through and help you get you right.

You must be clear in the quality and value you offer for yourself first. Then you can demonstrate that value at every turn. Yes, demonstrate. Actions will always speak louder than words. Once you get clear on who you are what you offer and how it brings value to your audience, you get to show them how valuable you are!

Social media, podcasts, guest-blogging appearances, and social proof are just some of the ways you can express your value. Create a platform where people can see what you do. Do not hesitate to promote your accomplishments as they give you credibility. People cannot connect with you if they do not know where to find you. Having a platform opens the door to more opportunity and opportunities help to build credibility.
