Sis Disrupts: Getting Lost in the Sensuality and Power in INDI-GO’s Lage’m

INDI-GO is a sultry singer from Brooklyn with Trinidadian and Haitian roots. And sis has disrupted the regularly scheduled program, with the release of her single Lage’m. For the last week, I've been in a country music cocoon but
Baby when the song is a vibe, it's a fucking vibe, you hear me?!

Over the weekend I stumbled across the music video for Lage’m, and I was lifted into this Carib-R&B utopia. The beat feels soft and sensual, while the lyrics are empowered by INDI-GO’s romantic vocals. It's been a while since breaking up sounded so good.

It is always great to see the people that you know grow in their craft. And I have watched INDI-GO put herself through a sort of artist development over the last seven years, “ Girlllllll. I wasn’t  letting anyone push me,” she joked when we reminisced over the days of people trying to push her into releasing music. She went on to say, “ It had to feel right, I have so much in the stash. But now that everything feels right, I’m not stopping.”
