Embracing Affiliate Marketing

After diving headfirst into planning and publishing the Pretti Things Gift Guide, I made a decision that might surprise you (and probably make you chuckle). I’m officially an affiliate for Adorned in Taji! Yes, you heard that right – this blog is spicing things up with affiliate marketing, and I’m excited about it! 

If you know me, you know that being on camera is NOT my jam. In fact, you’d probably find me hiding behind a piece of furniture the moment someone suggests a video shoot! But I’ve always had a strong passion for shining a light on Black women-owned businesses. Joining affiliate programs for some of my favorite brands feels like a perfect way to do just that! Plus, it gives me fresh new angles on content creation, marketing, and publicity that I can't wait to share with you.
So, what does that mean for me (and for you)? It means there are several types of content out there! 

For starters, take this blog post, for instance. Writing is my sweet spot, and it allows me to express my thoughts and ideas comfortably. But that's not all! Here are just a few types of content you can explore:

This includes blogs, articles, and social media captions like the one you’re reading right now. If you enjoy expressing yourself through words, this is your playground! 

Graphics and Infographics

Not particularly keen on writing? Consider creating visually appealing graphics or infographics that communicate your messages effectively. Tools like Canva make this so much easier!

Curated Content
You can share content created by others that resonates with you and your audience. This helps you build community without always having to generate original content yourself.

Podcasts and Audio Content
For those who love to chat but shy away from the camera, starting a podcast or creating audio content can be a phenomenal way to showcase your personality and share your insights.

Visual Content
